The ragged pieces of ideas and thoughts of my attempt to live a life as a contemporary monastic in the urban city of Singapore..

Mag shared about her beloved Auntie. She concluded by reminding us that 'Life is really not measured by how long we live'.

Auntie Elsie was our model of a life that was totally poured out. If i could only be half the person that she was in selfless living and in giving to others, it will make a big difference to people around me. Her life of service in ministry and in dedication towards family & people around her was often quiet and never public until her death. She meant that her good deeds was not for the reward of recognition but just pure devotion. She left a legacy which will impact us for the remainder of our short lifetime and she'll definitely be missed by anyone who knew her. It was hard to say our goodbyes last Saturday. However we know it is only a temporary goodbye. despite the sadness, we ought to be happy because she had fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith. Despite the tears, we are glad that she's finally home and for quite a long time, she can rest in God's great peace. Goodbye Auntie Elsie, we will see you again!
