Arise O Lord; save me, O my God! For Thou has smitten all my enemies on the cheek; Thou hast shattered the teeth of the wicked. Salvation belongs to the Lord; Thy blessing be upon Thy people" - Psalm 3:7-8

One of the blessing of being God's people is that He will give our enemies a really good beating. But before we have any wild thoughts about so & so, we need to be reminded that our enemies are not flesh and blood but principalities and power, the rulers and authority of the dark world.

So join in the fight like a red-blooded young boy, stand firm and never give up on what's good. Work productively and pray earnestly... yes, the Lord will surely bash somebody up. Deservingly

Reading from Gandhi's autobiography this morning is the thought of the day "The heart's earnest and pure desire is always fulfilled. In my own experience I have often seen this rule verified". He said when speaking of his heart's desire for service of the poor. That which came to pass inevitably.
